    Production process

    Raw material preparation:
    Select appropriate alloying elements, such as chromium, nickel, manganese, silicon, etc., to ensure that they meet the chemical composition standards of 309 or 309S stainless steel.
    Smelting:
    The raw materials are melted in an electric arc furnace or induction furnace to form molten stainless steel. The temperature and composition need to be controlled during the melting process to ensure the uniformity of the alloy.
    Casting:
    Casting molten stainless steel into ingots or blocks, usually by continuous casting or mold casting.
    Hot rolled or cold rolled:
    The ingot or block is gradually processed into the desired tube shape by hot or cold rolling. Hot rolling is usually carried out at high temperature to increase plasticity and reduce deformation resistance.
    Tube preparation:
    Cut the rolled material to prepare tube blanks, which can be seamless tubes or welded tubes.
    Tube forming:
    For seamless pipes, the tube blank is processed into pipe by piercing; for welded pipes, flat plates or coils are formed and then welded.
    Heat treatment:
    Heat treatment of the pipe to eliminate internal stress and improve the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of the material. Common heat treatment methods include annealing.
    Cooling and cleaning:
    After heat treatment, the tubes need to be cooled and cleaned to remove surface oxides and impurities.
    Inspection and testing:
    Conduct various inspections and tests on finished pipes, including chemical composition analysis, mechanical property testing, non-destructive testing (such as ultrasonic testing, X-ray testing), etc. to ensure that product quality meets standards.
    Surface treatment:
    According to customer needs, surface treatment such as pickling and polishing is carried out to improve the corrosion resistance and aesthetics of the pipe.
    Packaging and Shipping:
    Finally, the qualified 309 (309S) stainless steel pipes are packaged and ready to be shipped to customers.
