    Production process

    Raw material preparation:
    Select high quality alloying elements such as nickel, chromium, copper, molybdenum, etc. to ensure that they meet the chemical composition standards of 904L stainless steel.
    Smelting:
    The raw materials are melted in an electric arc furnace or induction furnace to form liquid metal. The temperature and composition need to be controlled during the melting process to ensure the uniformity and quality of the alloy.
    Casting:
    The molten metal is poured into a mold and cooled to form an ingot or block. Care must be taken during the casting process to control the cooling rate to avoid internal defects.
    Heat treatment:
    Heat treatment of the ingot, usually including forging and annealing, to improve its mechanical properties and organizational structure. Heat treatment can eliminate the stress generated during the casting process and improve the toughness and corrosion resistance of the material.
    Rolling:
    The heat-treated ingot is processed into the desired tube shape by hot rolling or cold rolling. Hot rolling is usually used for the production of large diameter tubes, while cold rolling is used for small diameter tubes.
    Welding (if applicable):
    For some types of 904L stainless steel pipes, welding may be required. The welding process requires the selection of appropriate welding materials and methods to ensure the quality and corrosion resistance of the weld.
    Cooling and cutting:
    After the rolled or welded tubes are cooled, they are cut to the length required by the customer.
    Surface treatment:
    Surface treatment of the pipe, such as pickling and polishing, is performed to remove surface oxides and impurities and improve corrosion resistance and aesthetics.
    Inspection and testing:
    Conduct quality inspection on finished pipes, including chemical composition analysis, mechanical property testing, non-destructive testing (such as ultrasonic testing, X-ray testing), etc., to ensure that the products meet standards and customer requirements.

    Qualified 904L stainless steel pipes are packed and ready to be shipped to customers.
